The Chef: Mee Ae Wolney
Mee Ae was born in Busan, S. Korea and raised in Colorado. After graduating from culinary school in Boulder, she worked several French, Italian and New American restaurants before deciding to go back to her roots. The concept for Anju St. Pete started in 2015 with a small food trailer serving only Bibimbap bowls to go. After seeing considerable growth, the popular food truck, Anju Korean Gastrotruck, was born in 2017 and Korean Fried Chicken, as well as other Asian inspired comfort food was added to the menu. In 2020 in the midst of the Covid crisis, Mee Ae decided to open Anju St. Pete, a storefront where safe no contact food pickups could be had by hungry customers. Dine-in and full service quickly followed.
